PHOTOGRAPHS ARE THE TANGIBLE CELEBRATION OF BEING ALIVE

I’m Jenna Mae. A Southern Georgian Bay Ontario based photographer (& Super 8 enthusiast) who has had a camera consistently in hand for more than half my life. I’m a creator that focuses on the people, the sentimental and memories above all else. My direction style is very light-hearted, fluid and free allowing room for your story to unfold. Presence and trust is key. 

My fascination with photography peaked in high school. After a film photography course taught me the full process of developing film and creating my own prints in the darkroom, my dad bought me a used Nikon F60 and I was hooked. It wasn’t until I needed a new creative challenge in college when I started capturing weddings. I was so drawn to the expression and celebration of love through that medium and had to get involved. I later taught myself digital and here I am with over a hundred weddings documented.

YOU ARE MY ART

In the end all we have are our photographs. The people you surround yourself with, the love you give, and the home you create are intrinsic to your story and legacy. This is where I come in — to capture all of who you are with honesty in mind.

Every single human is deserving of beautiful photographs. Surrender to the process, lend your trust, and let yourself be known. Just as you are and just as you feel. 

MY HEART

I’m free spirited, quirky, an awkward joke-maker, a collector. I rarely wear shoes in the summertime and I often kick them off when I’m shooting. I’m a bookworm and a true crime nerd. Whenever I drive the music is cranked.

I’m a lover of people, freedom, the wind, the sun, the rain and all the beauty this life has to offer. I thrive on making people laugh to help them break out of their shells. If you feel good, I feel good. I tell my people I love them often and believe the world is a better place when we do.

When I’m not shooting you can find me in a forest, swimming in Georgian Bay, lazily kayaking, or travelling somewhere (likely solo).
